Angel of The North & Gateshead

The town of Gateshead is on the south side of the River Tyne opposite Newcastle upon Tyne.Gateshead and Newcastle are linked by ten bridges including the Gateshead Millennium Bridge, a foot and cycle bridge spanning the river. The Angel of the North, Gateshead, is steel sculpture of an angel, standing 20 metres tall, with wings 54 metres It stands on a hill overlooking the A1 road into Tyneside.
